What do you think about the public transport in London?
Answers:
I think the underground is wonderful.
There's public transport in London? wow!!
Its very public and its in London, thats what. It is expensive and noisy and dirty, and Ken Livingstone loves it, so its cr*p.
I think the london underground is the best underground system in the world. The Jubilee line is fantastic and the buses, trains etc seem quite integrated. I wish more UK cities had a decent alternative to the car.
Brilliant and a shining example for other major cities to follow. I live in a small rural community which has no public transport facilities. When we stayed in London a few weeks ago, we paid just over £5 for each adult for the whole day's travel on buses, local trains and underground and nothing at all for the children.
I recently went on a bus trip from my mother's home to her nearest town - 2 miles away. It cost me £4.90 return for me and one child.
If we lived in London, we would not need to be a two car family.
It could be improved and could be run cheaper.
The tube is brilliant. Also can`t get over the fact that children travel free on the buses.I spend a fortune on buses for my kids here!
i am living in london sinse 3 months before,i am cuban ,but is a shame since now i never have been in a bus here ,..but i can tell you about the transport in cuba jaja .sheers
it's fine
Its good if you're sightseeing and commuting. But if you've got suitcases forget it.I stayed in a hotel in the Kensington area and struggled big time..and im a big lad.I felt treat like a second class citizen too..can you let the other people through first. They should make the turnstiles a bit bigger so you can get a case through.
Once missed a train because of it.which was good because the one i was gonna get was stuck for hours between stations. How i laughed hahahahahahaha. In the middle of summer too.with no air con..ooooh my sides hurt.
Public transports in London are very expensive and not always very reliable. Unfortunately prices are still going up. Someone has to pay for the Olympics!
