What is the best Sat navigation system you can buy and why?
Answers:
I use a Tom Tom GO 700. It came with all the maps for Western Europe as standard.
Tom Tom make the best after market sat nav systems, and so for that they are the most expensive. However they are easy to use and i've never had a problem. I'm an HGV driver so mine does alot of mileage and has saved my behind countless times. Also had no problems using it in France earlier this year.
Tom Tom have now upgraded all their stand-alone units so you'd have to look had to find the unit i have in the shops. I know a few people who have the Tom Tom Navigator on their PDA and it's exactly the same to use, I have no need for a PDA so prefer the easier to manage stand-alone unit.
an F18 has a good satnav, you could buy one of those
Garmin Nuvi360. Navteq mapping is the best mapping in the world for sat navs.

Find the biggest, fattest pigeon you can find, just plonk your **** on that badboy!
I live in Italy and some time ago I bought a Tomtom Navigator pack with an Hp Pocket PC. It was a bit expensive, but I like it very much, and I bought the Western Europe maps upgrade for €50. I can also use my PDA to do other things, so.I killed 2 birds with one stone!
I have got a Mercedes CLS 55AMG and that has the best satnav system I have ever had, mercedes is the car to have for technology at the moment. Also Audi is pretty good, I have ordered a new Q7 for my G/F and that is wicked inside.
I used to have a BMW 650 and that had so many places missing on the sat nav and it was rubbish.
For a portable device I recomend the TOM TOM ones they are the best and they are a reasonable price. Compared to buying a cls that is.
The "AA Road Atlas 2007"
