Hi ive gotta peugeot expert 2 hdi when i hit 72 the turbo turns itsself off ive done a fault check and it come

the fault check says its the turbo solenoid wastegate valve ? help theres four of the bleeder ?

Answers:
A turbo cannot "shut itself off" as it is driven by exhaust gasses passing by the turbine which inturn forces filtered compressed air into the intake manifold.

If there is a wastegate problem then the wastegate is probably sticking open or not opening at all. If it's sticking open then the van will lack power as the boost is bypassed through the wastegate.

If the gate is sticking shut then excess boost can return to the turbo and stall the compressor.this is not good and fooks the turbo in double quick time (tuned cars fit a dump valve for this reason)..either way, get it into the pug garage and sort it!
You aren't making sense.

When you hit 72 (which is an illegal speed) you go back in time, right?
I think you need to go away and rethink your question as it doesn't make sense {:-)
May i suggest you ignore the car issue and practice proof reading and spell checking !
open bonnet get one of your mates to hold engine revs at about 3000 rpm. to the lefthand side of the coolent resevior there will be two cylinders with two vacume pipes on each when reving engine disconnect each vacume pipe in turn untill the turbo stops wisteling, once this happens you have found the turbo wastegate solenoid valve. replace it as it is a common fault on peugeots. you can get one from your peugeot dealer about £55. but if your van is still under 3 year warranty why are you asking this just book the van in!
