to fix no, Jags of that age have a common problem with wear in the engine bores, so finding a good engine would be harder than described in the ad (they are not a common car). Scrapyards know this so charge accordingly. If you luck out and find a cheap running engine before the auction ends, by all means, if you don't then pass it by.
That's a lot of car for £640 even as a non-runner BUT.how much time / money to put it right?
If you're mechanically minded and can do the work yourself it's probably worth a bid especially if you want it for your own transport.

If you have the means to repair on the cheap then it doesn't look too bad.I would suggest that you have a good look at the car before bidding and that you run the details through HPI.
