Strange vibrating noise coming from Vauxhall Astra at low revs?
Acceleration is very slow when the vibrating sound is present. Any ideas what the problem could be?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers.

Is it like a metal plate vibrating ?
Mine did the same and it was a cover in the engine that was working loose, my garage fixed to whilst it was being serviced.
look in the boot and see if somthink is loose or take it to a garage.
Hope you get it fixed.

Loose exhaust, loose bracket, or you have a heat sheild on the exhaust flopping around. Good luck.
A strange one, cant really determine it unless i hear it but if it also losing power, do you mean it is revving but not going anywhere fast. Kinda sounds like a faulty clutch as they can give off vibrations when failing
Have a look in the boot? Jeez.
It may be your catalytic converter. I am having a similar problem.
Does it sound like a rattling sound that seems to happen only at certain revs?
The cat is made up of a ceramic or steel honeycomb that can fall apart and cause the rattle or it can be caused by incorrect engine tuning where fuel gets into the cat and damages it.
If its not the cat then it may just be a faulty exhaust, bracket etc. take it to a KwikFit (or similar).
