What's the best 33bhp or less motorbike for me to buy?

I know it's boring, but you're best off buying the newest, most simple bike you can, with the least mileage.
When restrictor kits are fitted they reduce the amount of exhaust gas which can be emitted from the engine, thus requiring significant adjustment to the fuelling, which means fiddling with the carbs. So, the more complex the bike the more complicated this becomes. Also, the more miles a bike does, the more it's engine beds in, and won't always react to well to such a drastic change in fuelling.
In addition, restricting a bike also lowers it's maximum rpm. Supersports bikes (the ones that look really fast and snazzy) thrive on high revs to go anywhere fast. Restricting these bikes is much more noticeable than on something slower, and more torquey with less cylinders and lower rpm. Besides, if you're just getting into biking then you really want something that's going to flatter your novice style, rather than show you exactly how inexperienced you are!
So, really you should be looking at 500cc twins. But, no one is going to blame you if you buy something more exotic and live with the impracticality.
what country are you in?
Anything designed for 33hp not restricted.
Get a Kawasaki KR1 S
i would go for a suzuki gsxr600 and have a restrictor kit fitted.
good tuning companys can do this and provided they give you the paperwork to show its been done there will not be a problem with insurance and the legal side.
best sports bike would be a aprillia rs 125 but pricey. It will require frequent expensive parts but they are fast for such a small bike. If you want to ride in winter you will not do this on a rs125 everyday because you will wreak it. get a trail 4 stroke. eg: Honda xl125. Great for bad weather. They have better fuel consumption and are generally cheaper to run. they are also a better bike for learning on and for gaining more experience even though they are slower. They are also more reliable. cheaper carbon copys of this bike like the Jailing JH125 are also a good buy. I had one of these but if it is not looked after properly it turns into a rust bucket in seconds. Most practical would be a Honda CG125. forget looks. this bike is indestructible!
Dont get a fast bike that will need restricting coz you will only end up with the same power output and a HEAVIER bike thus slower. + bikes dont like to be restricted.
There is always the option of restricting it, get the certificate for it and then deristriced it. Then you could get anything bearing in mind your insurance will kill you for an r1. but my friend did this for 2 years and had a cbr600f gsxr and a r6 in his 2 years waiting for a full licence. good if you know people who own bike shops and just right out certificates. as for me i just rid illegally then did my full test when i was 21. already had 6 bikes by then. lol
i have a Suzuki sv650 restricted to 33 bhp but it is still fast 0-60 in 4 sec
