What is the law regarding receiving a parket ticket for parking on a gararge forecourt?
Answers:
If you don't want to pay the fee, then don't park there! You obviously did see the notices, and parked there anyway, so what's your complaint?
i have never heard of this, seems peculiar, what if it takes 25 mins to get petrol and pay would you then be charged aswell, perhaps you should speak to the garage in question they may be able to help, if it is allowed i imagine its to stop people parking for their two week holiday although who in their right mind would do that anyway??
Quite frankly, you were lucky you weren't clamped. Why on earth would you think that you can park on someone else's property? You know the rules, you played the game and you lost. Stop whining and pay the loser's penalty!
The law is a bit vague when it comes to charges levied by private companies enforcing parking on private property. It is best to avoid getting yourself in such situations, and the best thing to do would be to pay up, and put it down as experience.
The only avenue you have is to go to court, but even then with notices placed clearly showing you the restrictions, there is not much you can do, remember that was private property!
