Are there any 4 wheeled vehicles apart from the reliant kitten that weigh under 550kgs unladen,?
Answers:
I think the Ariel Atom does?
robin maybe
Yes and its a real corker by all accounts, the Areil Atom comes in at a Kate Moss sized 456kg, but has a V-Tech Honda engine chucking out 220bhp, so needless to say it goes like very runny **** of a super shiney shovel thou top speed is not quite supercar standard theres not much on 4 wheels and road legal that will keep pace with it in 0-60 dash which this little beauty can dispatch in under 4 seconds in the right hands, added to that the excellent handling and super cool minimalistic looks your onto a sure fire adrenalin rush.
yes Caterham Superlight 7
Just Launched here in the UK is the Tonique R, basically a revised take on the Lotus 7 Concept. at 525kg it just pips in, and with 203bhp it goes like stink.
But the ultimate award must go to the Caparo T1, at just 499kg and housing a 500bhp engine, it's power to weight ration of 1002bhp/tonne is unmached in any production car. Check out the website:

There are lots - they EU classification of "Heavy Quadricycle" covers a variety of vehicles with a laden weight of less than 450kg, so these would all fit your under 550kg unladen requirements.
These are specifically designed for those without full car licenses, and are popular in France, Spain and Italy.
Reliant import Ligier models, and Aixam models are also available in the UK.
