Is it safe to buy a car from ebay, is their any kind of returns policy?
Answers:
The return policy would be between you and the seller not eBay. EBay is just a way of finding a seller and buyer for items they want. Like buying any car anywhere else, be sure you know what you're doing before you buy.
I think they not!
i nearly bought a car but found that it was a scam! i wouldnt if i was you.
Ebay vehicles are pretty safe bets, there's not really a return policy unless the item is not as described.
Just make sure you look at it before bidding. I see Ebay as just a way to advertise the cars
I would be very carefull but it does depend on the seller if they offer a returns policy, but even if they do it may be hard to make them actually do it. Be carefull.
Don`t buy a car that is not under warranty. You will more than likely be paying for problems the first owner did not want to. So they traded it in.
I think most people on e-bay are trust-worthy but I would be careful anyway. If I were you I would look for a local seller. Then ask if they have more pictures or if you can come look at it, where they say it is. If not, I wouldn't buy the car.
well my brother brought a porshe and that waz fine
better going to a garage or at least use autotrader sdo that you can go and view the motor
ebay is just an advertisment
when you buy privatly do you expect a returns policy?
exactly the same when using ebay
you will need to inspect the car throughly
It's a bad idea, a buyer needs to check out the car in advance and get a mechanical and hpi report, it may be a ringer or cut and shut, the sellers on ebay want an instant decision with the bidding and in my experience it's never a good idea to speed buy such an expensive item. Have a look at yahoo cars and look for a local motor, take a friend who knows about cars, i once brought one in haste and found it was a write off, also i spent 3k on it cos it fell apart, learn by my mistakes friend.
i bought my volvo off Ebay. 4 years ago, for 300 quid, and its still running perfectly, but it is a volvo. caveat emptor, buyer beware and all that.
and if its on ebay, and the descrition isnt spot on accurate, tehn you can just walk away and leave scathing feedback. but its a risk, and so is crossing the road. you pay your money and take a chance. and, if youre lucky, youll get a good car at a fraction of the price of eh high street. but, always ask yourself why. no one sells a car if its working perfectly. and just because someone has no reason to lie, doesnt mean they won't.
I say if you are not 100% postive in doing it this way then don't. Why not go to a Auction place instead where you can actually look over the car/s yourself
I wouldn't buy a car off ebay, if I were you stick to buying from garages.
