How comes the car make mazda is pronounced ''Marzda'' in America and ''Mazda'' in England?

Answers:
umm..i was born and raised as an American - well Italian-American to be exact, but I have never, never, EVER heard of any Americans pronouncing it Marzda.that sounds crazy, and funny. As far as I'm concerned, everyone Including all Americans pronounce it MAZDA - just the way it is supposed to be said.
What are you on about? It's Mazda here, there and everywhere!
Oh Dear.its called an accent.the people from the USA have a different accent to the english, thats why it sounds different, but its the same word
The same reason a fortified building in the North of England is a Castle and in the South it's a CaRstle. Grass/GraRss!?
I know of no one here in the US that says Marzda for Mazda. You may have encountered some person or persons who have picked up some very local mispronounciation - it happens.
It is not. If you've heard anybody pronounce it that way (I haven't) they're simply mispronouncing it.
Everyone I know in the US says "mazda". Maybe you heard someone with an accent mispronouncing it.
Duhhh that's easy..American don't talk properly..
tomato.is another they cant pronounce properly ..
its not, you just probably didnt understand the guys who was saying it, its mazda, always has and always will be. Possibly the person pronouncing it has a dialect and it just sounded different
Same reason a thing with pages is called a 'buck' in posher areas of England. It's to do with amazing things called regional accents.
Me, I like a nice warm bath not a barth. I like my food cooked, not cucked. But what the hell, it's all the same thing.
cos yanks dont talk proper like what we brits do.
You forgot toyota in the us it's tea o ta.
I never heard that before. As far as I know it is pronounced Mazda everywhere, even here in Texas.
Probably because they're Americans, and have their own twee pronunciation for everything.

Mind you, I've never heard it pronounced like that..
I wanted to say you have the two mixed up. It's Mazda, in America, and Marzda in England. And it's their accent.
CyberNara
the difference is that one is British English and the other is American English.
When you correctly poll everyone in both country's,then you can get a proper idea how EVERYONE pronounces certain words. Also, then you can only judge the majority
Because the person who pronounced it Marzda is either a snob or a bit of a tit!
