Its taken a long time to grow on me but I guess Its OK. wouldn't want one though.
what gets me is the number of beetles that have that stupid flower on the dashboard..WHY ??

I certainly hope no one with a brain cell thinks the new VW Beetle, that water cooled automatic transmission knock off of the good Beetle is as good or better than the original air cooled wonderful piece of engineering. If you do any research on the web, you will find most buyers have serious complaints about the vehicle also.
I do not! the new car looks like a pregnant beetle. The only good thing about the new beetle is the heater works.

I think they're sexy. More attractive than the old beetle. (Besides, old beetles suck in engine performance and maintenance).
I don't, it's nice but the original shape had more character. Same with the Mini.
the old ones were better because they had the engine in the back which gave you WAY MORE GAS MILAGE!! its easier to push a car then to pull it.plus the old ones last way longer than teh new ones ever will
the original is so much cooler, it was a completly unique design, the old beetle and the old mini are in a class of their own
Absolutely not! It's a travesty to call it a Beetle, lacks all the characteristics of a real beetle - rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Just some more tasteless "Jamie Oliver"-esque design bollox.
Bit like the new Mini - made by BMW, similar footprint as a bloody Mondeo (and about as much charm, charisma and uniqueness)

the original is better i think plus I've read that the new beetles were poor in sales in the states but it sounds like it will continue somewhere else

i have a 1956 vw beetle oval window 6 - volt for the past 10 years, and i have to say that touch wood it never let me down once. regardless of what anyone says about the poor engine performance, its good enough for me. ps if anyone knows anyone in england or ireland who has a beetle around that age or up to the early 1960s, please let me know.
I think they are both good.I have a new shape one and i call it Tallulah coz she is funky. Most other cars are just boring to me. Nothing wrong with the old one but its more comfortable.
