My Kenwood car radio drives me insane!?
Answers:
This part of the RDS function of the radio, and is called TA/TP, and it provides traffic announcements that interrupt your normal listening. There has to be a button on the radio somewhere that will turn off the TA/TP function, and this should be confirmed by the TA symbol disappearing from the display.
If you go to the Kenwood site, and checkout their downloadable manuals, you should be able to get an instruction booklet/user manual for your head-unit.
there will be a button TA, TP or TI . hold it down until it bleeps
go to kenwood web site and download the book
If ur getting Insane, let others do so- OUT IN FULL PUBLIC
bring out the Kenwood Radio and smash it into bits- people will as u why, tell them the reason, it will be big news, and Merc and Kenwood will replace it with a new one.
SIMPLE
One of the buttons will be a menu for bass etc.. on my old kenwood it was a blue one with a Q in the middle of the up/down and side track buttons press once for some functions press and hold for others. You need to find news on the menu and set it to off using the surrounding buttons and this will stop the news bulitens. For traffic you will have a button with tp when this is on tp will show on the display towards the bottom it is quite small. press the button untill this dissapears and traffic will stop too.
It is designed to do this. Since you did not provide a model number, try pressing the reset button. This is the very small button on the front panel that you must press with a pen or a paper clip. Press it while the power is on. You do not need to hold it, just press and let go. When it turns back on, you should no longer have this problem.
