Does anyone know if gearbox or linkage trouble is common on high mileage audi A4 diesel's (200k+)?

Answers:
Yes the clutch plate some times shatters on all VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda's. repair price is about £250, but hey your car has done 200k, so you have to accept some problems along the line
oh yes. should've bought a merc. its not serious just the linkage arm needs adjusting or rebushing. though knowing audi its a new control arm.ouch.
No its not normal that the gearbox gives problems even at your high mileage i have driven A4 with 300,000 on the clock .The suspension can cause a few probs apart from normal servicing and using fully synthetic oil you still have an excellent car.Regards Mick
No its not a common problem for an A4 to have gear linkage problems
