Are sunstrips/stickers on cars out of fashion now in UK?

complete waste of money, look so tacky that they deduct value from your car. saw two technically identical subaru imprezas for sale. same mileage etc, one had the rally stickers on it and the value was a good 100 quid lower than the plain one.
basically if you want to look like a chav go for it
Had gone out of fashion until the fast and the furious films and the hype of drifting in asia. Looks god awful on novas and starlets

not gone out of fashion ( who said they ever where lol) but most screen now are tinted and have a built in one and stickers look Chav with a capital C
You're 18 years old. you've just passed your test. you're buying your first car and the insurance company are gonna sting you for every penny. What do you do? Go out and but a little hatch back with a 1 litre engine for a few hundred quid and then spend god knows how much money "doing it up" to look like something it really shouldn't because you think it looks "cool" - why don't you just invest in a car you want to drive in the first place? What is the crack with those dodgy blue led light things on the bonnet?? How could that ever have been in fashion?
