chances are that the noise you can hear is the REAR swing arm bush on the FRONT of your car,
you can have these bushes replaced but it's not much dearer to have the whole arm replaced, it's also quicker and easier, (if you take it to a garage its also cheaper as it dont take as long!!)

Possibly a ball joint. Shake your front wheel with your hands and listen for clunk.
check your swaybar links If they are new style ball an socket instead of long bolt an 8 rubber bushing and washers I know taurus's are ball and socket they go bad alot.
Its the bearing on top of your strut. Its called a strut bearing lol. It has worn out. Replacement isn't that difficult and the part is fairly inexpensive. Looking at 80 to100$ for shop replacement. Part is 10-15 dollars.
