Towing a trailer in France?

I love camping in the South West Coast of France but even with a roof box am running out of space. ( I have a big frame tent) If I get a trailer what are the laws on French motorways eg speed limits, are you allowed in the outside lane, and how much more does it cost on the peage?

Answers:
All I can find is the following:

"Cars towing heavy trailers or caravans have slower speed limits. If the trailer/caravan is less than 30% heavier than the car then the limit is 65 km."

If your load is that great why not get a caravan?

Oddly it doesn't say what limits apply if the trailer is over 30% heavier. you'd need a prety hefty motor to tow it, though. Happy travelling.
If you need so much room for stuff when going camping you have to pull a trailer, you should just stay home and camp in the backyard. It will save a lot of packing.
