2-1/4 " Is the most common axle nut size 36 mm is the larger size.
On most Fords i believe they are 32mm, if not it is 36mm like any other car not much of a differance unlees modified for racing flash git wheels, lol, do not for get to but a torque wrench or a 3ft socket bar as these nuts are on tight, good luck and have fun, little bit of naughty advice , buy the socket in the morning from somewher like Halfords, do the job clean the socket up, and then take it back cos they can cost up to £ 8 - £9 each.
another idea is buy the new bearing, if thats what you are doing you will get a new nut with that take that with you and measure up.
hi why don't you jack the car up, and take a nut out. or even easier still go to a breakers yard or phone them (numbers in yellow pages) they Will know and i.m sure they can supply you with them if you need any.
all fords are fitted with either a 30mm or 32mm nut depending on age and size of car fiesta should be 32 mm the only vehicle that have 36mm nuts are french i:e Peugeot Citroen e.t.c also Jap stuff like Honda and Nissan hope this helps mister_mechanic
