Whats are the best mods to improve hp on a 1999 1.6 zetec focus?

Im looking to make a 10%/15% improvement to hp and fuel effieciency.

Answers:
Any mods that you do (super chip, K&N Airfilter, Exhaust) will give you extra power but you're fuel efficiency will go down hill. Probably better to save yourself some money and get an older ST170 or 2.0 and tune that up
scrap it
Get it superchipped, find out what kind of turbines you could attach to it and fit the biggest one.

Get a fuel dump installed if you have the money, get it port-polished and get a new, bigger air intake filter.

you'll get a lot more than 10-15% out of it then
an oil change will do.
Sell it.
Sorry.
get a..life!
not sure though
Easiest way to start of, buy an induction kit for around £100 which should increase BHP buy about 1BHP. Go for a custom exhaust, for the best try PowerFlow, this will increase BHP by another 4-5. For a cheaper option try premium petrol such as BP Ultimate or Shell Optimax.

Other than that I would go fro an ECU remapping, this will give you around another 15BHP, but check with your insurers first, most wont touch the car with a barge pole once that has been done..BUT WHO NEEDS TO KNOW :o)
normally effieciency and more power dont go in the same line and it all depends on how much u want to spend. obvious mods would be to remove the decat, filter change, and a free flow excuaust, but these alone wount give u a 10 to 15 % power improvement. it will however give u better throttle response and better fuel effieciency. nos is a cheap option for bif power gains. i would go for a mid sized turbo uprated ecu, balencing and strenghening of the motor. but as u might know this will set u back in the region of 4000+ pounds but will give u alot of fun for your money
Buy a big motorcycle
getting a remap done companys have info in car mags autocar autotrader etc
buy a model with a bigger engine, to get good power gains will cost decent money and hike your insurance.
if you got the 2 litre straight upto about 138 bhp standard
You cannot increase horses without them feeding more!

More power needs more fuel so do you want more power or the car to use less fuel? You cannot have both that's like putting an athlete on a starvation diet then asking them to break the world 100m record!

An induction kit and free flowing exhaust are a good start to hp. get the ecu remapped or better still get it chipped, upgrade the injectors to flow more fuel, uprate the airflow sensor, fit higher lift and duration cams, hell fit Nos if you have to but don't fool yourself into ever thinking its going to be quick or have a higher top speed than standard, to tune properly you need to start playing with changing gearbox internals for gears that allow the cars road speed to increase.

that or stop wasting your money trying to tart up a car that is nothing more than a rep mobile and a granny shopper, buy a motorcycle and feel real horsepower!
turbo kit and or NOS.that will do it but it may kill your engine to.
