UK question: Did you fail your driving test?

What did they fail you on?

Answers:
I failed four times but only had five lessons so I reckon i saved money in the long run. Once I never noticed an Unmarked junction. Once I went over the speed limit. Once Some ned came up behind me and came so close that I lost it a bit. And once I hit the kerb doing the reverse park. But don't wory that you won't pass yuo probably will.good luck.
Yeah
No. I never failed a UK driving test.
no, passed first time, stalled it, turned wrong way but still passed
No. Passed first time.
Who remembers. They had to give me one anyway soon after without a test based on my foreign one because I got a diplomatic job. And then I turned that one in for a French one, and now EU law means I can use the French one until I reach age 72 since I happen to have a European nationality.
Nope. Passed first time! My Dad taught me, my brother and my Mum and we all passed first time. None of us paid for so much as one lesson - think my Dad missed his vocation!
Passed first time, long time ago though. Loads more things to learn these days I hear.
No, I passed first time - drove really well on it actually, impressed myself!
I failed 4 times, too fast, too slow, clipped a corner, can't remember the fourth and passed with 3 minor faults fifth time lucky. Since then have written one car off head on into a Porsche (company car) at 30mph each way and wrecked a bumper on a Vitara. Some say I shouldn't have my license at all. I tend to agree with them!
nope, passed first time :o)
Passed first time! ;)
Yep. I still can't drive and I'm 29. I have to cycle and skateboard everywhere. You crash a car a few times in lessons and next thing you know you are pretty much banned. I failed my test by hitting a lampost head on. Not my fault it jumped in front of me at the last min.
No, passed first time even though I went up the kerb reversing!!
No passed first time but best mate failed hers for driving too slow down a country lane - she was doing 50 (fast enough I thought). Failed next one for driving too fast down country lane (55mph?!?!!)
Failed next one cos she had to stop to let a combine out on same country road and another one followed. Failed cos she shouldn't have let second one out! Renault clio versus John Deere Combine Harvester? Hmm don't think u can really say that she had much choice there.
She is taking it again in 6 wks and is refusing to go down any country roads!!
Yeah I passed third time! I got a D for dangerous driving on my first and I failed on mirrors and stuff on my second!
My sister didn't fail her driving test but everyone wanted her to because she was such a bad driver, and then a week after passing she crashed into a tree!
No, I even stalled it in front of a bus at a really busy junction in Oxford and still passed!
Nope, i was fortunate enough to pass first time
I failed for stopping just over the white line - my instructor told me I'd be lucky to pass with the examiner I was given so that made me feel totally confident before I started the test! Passed second time tho!
I failed first time and passed second time. I failed on so many things, I just went to pieces. I stalled about 8 times including in a yellow box, the parallel parking was a shambles and so it went on. I now love driving but still can't parallel park to save my life!
i passed first time but i know they can fail you on getting so many minor errors or if you just get 1 major error like if turning right from a main road into a main road and going over the central white line or if waiting on a slope downwards with handbrake not fully on if you roll downwards towards traffic that will fail you instantly, ask your driving instructor he she will be able to help you, dont worry too much though nerves will make you do silly mistakes!! a few suggestions though make sure you look at the speed limits at each turn and if you come to a junction and they dont give you an instruction as to go left or right there will be a one way only sign infront of you, i nearly got caught out on that one, was about to ask which way to turn when i saw the sign.. they can be very tricky those driving examiner's!!

good luck
i failed the first one cos i had the chief examiner. he braked very slightly before i did at the first junction, cos he didnt know if i was gonna stop in time. i obviously had to endure another 20 mins or so not aware i had definitely failed, until he told me at the very end.bummer!! but hey thats 6 years ago now and i passed shortly after on my 2nd test!!
No I passed first time
Nope. Passed first time.

A few 'minors' though. Approach speed to junctions (2) and not looking in mirror once.
fourth time lucky for me. I didnt even make it out the test centre on my 3rd test. Messed up my reverse park and then decided not to carry on after that. Got there in the end though!
i took my test at 17 and failed..1st time..the examiner scared the s*** out of me i was so scared that when he said turn right at the roundabout i did just that.i turned right..the wrong way round.daft i know..but i scared s******s..two days later i retook it..and passed..(different examiner..really calm and nice) asked me at the end why i failed first time told him what i did(he knew anyway) he asked why i did it told him examiner scared me..
Nope, didn't fail it either.

But heard from my peers the most commons ones are, Failure to conform to road orders, the stop lines and all. And grazing/mounting kerb, still, i'd say, it all depends on the tester. =P
Passed my Car, Bike and Class 2 HGV licences 1st time, but only passed my Class 1HGV on the third attempt. Failed on my uphill start (damn Focus in my blindspot) first time and I think it was innappropriate use of gears and having to readjust to avoid taking the trailer over a kerb on the second go.
No -- Passed Fist Time in 1958 , never lost my Licence
nope first time
