Is it possible to have my 2.5 non turbo diesel ford transit engine chipped to give me more power if so where?

Answers:
It's difficult to get more power easily out of non-turbo diesels. Most of the ECU upgrades for diesels that really get good torque increases come from adding more fuel and more boost, so I think you may be out of luck.
Give it up! First of all, its a diesel, second, its a 4 cylinder and last and worse of all its a peice of FORD!
Harry is right. A normally aspirated engine is pretty much fixed.

If it's an older model all if the parameters are mechanically defined. eg. rev limit, fuel flow.

Newer models with DCi etc. are more ECU controlled and more fuel can be added & the rev range extanded, but only the turbo models can get any real benefit from chipping - up to an extra 30 or 40bhp without having to upgrade the turbo.and the intercooler..then the exhaust and the.
fit a turbo. shouldn't cost that much..
the only way around that problem to fit a turbo diesal engine in before you can chip the ecu other wise life stays in the slow lane
