Can any body tell me why my vauxhall vectra keeps cutting out on low revs?

I'd jack up the radiator cap and drive a different make under it..
because you bought one of the crappest cars on the market..
maybe the fuel filters are clogged
try a bottle of k-seal in your cooling system, sounds like head gasket starting to crack,
check your plugs and points.or maybe your head gasket has blown.
it is trying to tell you, to put it out of it's misery!!! scrap it!!
You know the small pedal that makes the car go? Put your foot on it with engine started and gearbox in neutral. Press gently downwards on the pedal until it won't go down any further. Listen carefully to the sound the engine is making. Keep your foot on the pedal while you count up to 100. Hold the pedal down until the sound changes noticably. You should hear rattling noises and see smoke everywhere. You will definitely have no more problems with your Vauxhall Vectra after that
Yes its your idle air control valve you can remove and try to clean with carb cleaner. This is a common fault with Vectra ,if you have an engine managment light on the one that looks like a cyl block with a lightning flash in the centre a remote possibility its your mass air flow meter at fault. Also main Vauxhall agents can reprograme your ECU to help eliminate this problem Regards Mick. the Vectra uses and engine management system called simtec 56.1, there is a common fault where there is a vacum pipe which blocks up also the engine breather pipe as well, no need to worry about head gaskets and things like that, the idle air control valve also could be blocked up, carb cleaner can be used for that, if the vacum pipe is blocked then you can clean it out dead easily and then replace it, only problem is tha base idle speed will need resetting and that can only be done at a dealer
