Question on my L reg Corsa?
Answers:
Does the car have a choke or fuel injection?
Correct starting procedure for this car, in neutral, foot off the clutch, turn key so that all the lights come on, count to 3, press accelerator a quarter way down and release. Turn the key with your feet off everything, car should start straight away, if not try new plugs and a service
Could be someone emptied his load into the exhaust!
Sounds like the automatic choke.
Its a common fault with the corsa, its down to the automatic choke.
There really isnt a lot you can do apart from paying for a system check with a Vauxhall dealer which could cost upto £30 + parts ect.
Its not a danger to the vehicle and the only thing you can do is have a new choke fitted which will end up doing the same thing as this one.
Pop along to your local Vauxhall dealer and ask them to check your idle air solonoid valve, it may be sticking or knackered.
