Vauxhall corsa car - gear change problems?
Answers:
if its a 01 on corsa then its the linkage - there`s a modified kit that will ensure the same fault doesn`t arise again - if its the earlier version it could be a linkage pin worn or it has the old type cable ajust nut - again there is a modified version without the spring which makes it much better. all available at your dealer
You wanna check that out with a mechanic, it's dangerous it that happens out on the road and prevents you from driving safely
it may be when the oil is cold and thick, does it occur mostly from cold ?if not and your sure the clutch is clearing o.k.it must be a fault within the gearbox.
it sounds like your linkage has gone mate, the same happened to me. set me bak £150 quid. its chepaer than a new gear box but mine wasnt covered under extended warranty. if yours is under manufacturers warranty you will be ok, otherwise its gunna set u back
Could be your linkage miss aligned or the cones on the syncrho are worn. I have been through 5 or 6 gearbox on all different vauxhalls it seems to be a week spot. I just chuck a new box in
