Should l buy a fiesta or a clio?

Answers:
Clio - everyone hates Fords
clio
depends one the model i suppose..but I'd take the fiesta, new shape one is crackin' and go for black or performance blue :)
I run a Diesel clio - it does a fantastic mileage.

it's getting on a bit not (51 plate) so it has needed a bit of care and attention this year, but otherwise - it's all good.
my daughter had a Fiesta when she 1st passed her driving test and kept for the last 2yrs. Unfortunately it dint get thru MOT this time and shes just bought herself a Clio.
Her insurance is the same although her road tax has gone up a bit. What shes saved on one shes spent on another.
I don't know about Fiestas, but I had my first Clio from 1995 until 2002. It was excellent to drive and I had no problems with it. I replaced it with another Clio in 2002 and that has been equally good.
if ur buying used cars watch out from the clio automatic transmisions older ones have some problems.
IF new ones fiesta looks better but spare parts are more expensive whereas clio are more efficient
I would buy a Fiesta, give me a Ford over Renault ANYTIME. I am on my third Ford car and I can honestly say, that I haven't had a scrap of trouble with any of them.
the french hate us buy ford.?
Clio defo! They look sexier plus i have one and i love it to bits. (yes i realsie its just a car. lol)
clio all day over any ford
A Clio was my second car, really nippy around town, great suspension, good mileage, comfy and cute (though for more street appeal get the sporster model). Definately a Clio.
New just dont depreciation is crazy, go for 2 year old.
Both are very nasty little cars.
Get an end of the line Rover 25/MG ZR if buying second hand or if you must have one of these Ford or Renault avoid the big engine low profile tyre option these are overgrown shopping trolleys not 2nd cousins to Monte Carlo rally winners.
You could get a tidy 5 year old Imprezza or BMW 3 series for the money these nasty bland short distance mobility units set you back
Short answer is no. If you're buying a used small car, and you're not a boy racer, it's probably best to look for a Japanese model. Nissan Micra; superbly reliable, cheap to run. Pick one up for a few hunded quid, preferably one owned by an older driver. Got a bit more money to spend? Try a Honda Jazz or Civic. Same advantages as the Micra, but initial outlay is higher. Avoid Mitsubishi Colt, quality of ride is poor, parts are expensive. Toyota Yaris is quite pricey for a small car, and boot space is poor. Likewise the Aygo. All Toyota model are very reliable though, and servicing is cheap.
i would choose the Clio but that is only because i prefer that car. if you want a good running small car buy any Peugeot with a diesel engine. they do always have faults with electrics but that is as standard on Peugeot's.
none of the above a better car will do
A fiesta
Neither they are both crap
neither, get a saxo they pimp up ace.
Fiesta, the latest ones are fantastic! Just avoid the 1.25, as it is not that quick.

The 1.25 in fiesta's built before 2002 are quite nippy, but it got strangled due to the need to reduce emissions in the latest model.

Renault's are OK. They just suffer from many electric issues, and parts are expensive comparatively speaking!
hey!
right, it does depend what model your getting!
interms of driving, the fiesta wins, it handles and goes better, its abit of a ford trait recently with all their models. Heaven forbid anything goes wrong, fords parts are cheaper, their also cheaper to insure and tax - fact. The clio does have a hip and cool qaulity and the ford is a little common, to be fair! But French cars are naff, for build qaulity and reliablity. I'm not going to try an convince you what looks better, because thats all opinion anyway! My mate had a clio, three times the tracking went out. for no reason :S and it had a couple of computer teething problams. Don't know if thats common? I worked in fords for a short period of time, which is probably why im a little bias! In all my time I was there, I never saw a fiesta come in with a problem! (i was only their a month over the summer). Anyway! Im rambling! In short, get a fiesta really, unless you'd prefer the looks of a clio, in my opinion it wouldnt be worth it! Even the deisel fiestas are fiesty!

Fiestas look nice in that funky metallic fake tan orange colour ha ha :P

Cheers.
Clio def, ive driven the fiesta and i didnt like it
we have had our fiesto1.25zeteck engined flyght 6 years with 50000 miles on the clock and apart from wear and tear we have spent nothing on the car fiestas are cheap to run less than 10p per mile on a run about 11.5p per mile around town parts are cheap and they are easy to repair no big labour bills either but do drink a bit of oil make sure it is serviced reguarly and rust proove the bottom and you are allmost guanteed a trouble free car clios on the other hand can be unreliable and costly to repair electrics can be the biggest problem
buy the fiesta, fords are cheaper to maintain
