Do u get points for not having a valid m.o.t certificate?
Answers:
They will bang you up nowadays for that..
yes, they can take your car too
Yes because without a valid M.O.T you do not have insurance cover either;so if you have an accident it could lead to a criminal prosecution as you would be driving without insurance !
yeah, quite rightly too, cos its just for our own safety :)
Yes. you will get in trouble if you are caught driving a car with no MOT.
The only time you can drive a car with no MOT is to a (local) MOT test station where it is booked in to take the test.
YOU KNOW IT DOES.
Driving without a Valid MOT will render your Insurance invalid, this alone carrys a Six to Eight point endorsement, and will also get you a hefty fine. The only time you may drive with an expired MOT is when the vehicle is being driven to and it's booked into the testing station or on Trade Plates in use with the Motortrade. Your best bet is to log onto the following website for correct information as I'm sure many people may interpret the law in many different ways. (In UK - www.dvla.gov.uk)
Not at all. There is a £30 fine in mose constabularies. Depending on the reason you don't have a certificate and the condition of the vehicle you might just get a warning. Insurance is not invalid without a MOT certificate. however if you are involved in an accident and deemed to blame due to the condition of your vehicle, particularly the failing to maintain it you could face a prosecution for that too.
get a mot like immediatley
