Having a car at uni?
Would you keep the car in my position?
Answers:
Use the bus. If you're in the UK, National Express is cheap enough to use to go home..
Yes.
No
I know cars can be a pain and an expense at times but keep a hold of the car. Public transport costs quite a bit these days and you're not going to feel like you're spending most of your life travelling on public transport. The car will be a godsend to you, keep a hold of it.
Try and keep the car if you can, it's good to have an escape from things. Also if you are sharing a student house you could offer lifts to college to your fellow housemates and get them all to chip in with the petrol.
what type of car is it ? i'll give u 50 quid for it,.jsut think of all those uni essentials u will be able to get ..like tins of beans !!
.
better still keep it !!
I think how much money you are going to have will be the deciding factor for you
.yes
You've just bought it not long ago, keep it. It's lost so much value already and you haven't had much value for money so far (ie got much use of it). You will need it to move your stuff back and forth. Also, you'll be going to uni starting this autumn and winter is round the corner.
For evening's out with fellow students, pool money together for petrol/take small payments for running errands for others, etc. It'll help ease the finances you've put into it.
Yep, keep it for now.
No cause your living away form home and only a student and ain't that much, you are paying living expenses e.g. rent, bills, food etc
Put it this way Im working full time and I pay a month:
£150 Car Finance (Til April 2007)
£80 petrol
£50 Insurance (which I put away)
£10 Tax (which I put away)
£10 Service (which I put away)
A total of £300 a month and I can't even afford to move out!
You need it.
