Does anyone know the common faults on the lexus is200?
Answers:
There are no common faults with this model. Alloys on the first models (99) can wear badly. I have had the auto headlight sensor fail but otherwise all ok. Parts and labour are high cost with Lexus so use a decent local garage. I have cut my servicing costs by a huge amount this way. If you want to know anything else contact me.

Don't believe the crap some people post about the IS. I live in the US so they only offered the IS300 variant here (I assume your talking about the older IS models). The IS300 are very reliable cars. Much more reliable than the BMW 3 Series. Look it up on JD Power, they have many reliabuility studies.
Buy one. High spec japanese car with the mechanical quality of a rocket ship. some say that they arent really a performance car like civics and so on but its luxury you get.
The only commom fault with my IS200 are the rear brake lights, after 3 years of use, they go off one by one. But it's chicken feed to replace them. Other wise, no problem.
If you are thinking of getting used one, try sourcing for one still under warranty. May cost a little more, but at least a peace of mind.
It's a good, reliable car.
is 200? i am pretty sure it's a 4 cylinder car. not the same is in the u.s. lexus is not until a few years ago started in japan. so though they have is or gs in japan. they are very different cars compare with the same model cars in the u.s.
There are no common faults. They are brilliant cars and give no trouble.
Yes I do. They are the ride of choice for wiggers and for ricers trying to outsnob everyone else.
