The gears on my espace work well when i'm going under 70 mph but if i have been on a long journey in the high gears or i need to come to a stop for a roundabout coming down from say speeds of in excess of 70 mph the gears will some times get stuck and it takes all my strength to get them out of gear and sometimes i even i have to come to a rolling stop to then get back into gear , it does'nt do this all the time and as far as i know there is no clutch problem ! can anyone help !
Answers:
this used to be a common fault on these vehicles,
after a while the clutch drive plate would become hot and expand,
this inturn caused minor clutch failier,
have the clutch replaced and your problems should be solved,
please note.
this may not be a cheap job so be prepared!
1st low oil level in gear box
2nd damaged pilot bearing
Possibly a broken syncro ring sounds like it could also be your clutch.
