I have a problem with my s2 rst.it will not start.it has fuel but no spark.have checked plucs, leads, coil.help!

Answers:
change the black ignition module (amplifier), bolted on the top of the distributor with two 7 or 8mm bolts, try partco or euro car parts for cheap one.
Check fuses!!!!! also it could be: crank sensor, cam sensor, ignition module, relay, (crank sensor sends signal to module to tell coil when to fire., cam sensor co-insides with crank sensor for injector pulse, and fire, the fuses and relays are self explanatory). if all else fails bring vehicle to certified tech. with up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
if it does have fuel,,, open filler cap,,,, light match and drop into it,,,,,,,,,,, remember to turn an run.. problem solved
Does it have an automatic choke? Could be the temperature sender unit has gone. I had this problem with my normally indestructible Audi and it meant the fuel mixture was too rich which meant the plugs couldn't spark the petrol.
i got a 1.4 mk5 escort an it done the same came out to b the ecu was nackered
