How to spray paint cars?
But I have had problems with flat and polishing.

Ensure the surface is clean, make sure any repairs are smooth and completed, spray a light coat of etch primer, then flat with 800 wet and dry using ordinary soap tp stop the paper clogging, wipe down with panel wipe and then put 3 light coats of primer on, flat off with 1000 grade wet and dry, panel wipe and then use a tak rag to make sure the surface is immaculate, put a light dusting coat of colour on, dont try to completley cover the panels yet, flat off with 1000 wet and dray and again use soap, panel wip and tak rag ans then apply 3 coats of colour leave to thoroughly dry and then flat off with super fine paper, use soap, panel wipe and tak rag surfaces then apply 2 coats of colour, allow to harden off for a few days then polish with some g3 compound or other fine compound then polish and you should have a brill paint job
not the best way to finish a car door but if you have to, make sure you prime first, let it dry properly (dont rush it). wet sand the primer with 220 or higher grit. Spray your finish flat even strokes with the can and mulitple coats . dont try to finish in 1 or 2 coats. 4 or 5 is better (light coats). Wet sand the paint with 600 grit then polish

I have spray bombed 2 cars so far, and they both came out great. You have to do many light coats so it doesn't run. If you are putting on a clear coat then double the number of coats from the color. Once you are done painting wet sand it in stages from 400 to 1500 grit paper. For a final shine use some fine grit rubbing compound then wax it. You CAN get a show room shine from a spray can if you are patient.
Make sure you do it in a dust-free environment (or as much as is possible).
