Never had problems with Farmer's, and I pay $120 for full coverage on an '05 Corolla.
State Farm and Allstate will rip you off if you're in a wreck.
I have Progressive. They offered me the best rate and good coverage. I've had them for about 4 years and every 6 months I renew at a lower rate. I have never been more pleased with an insurance company.
Can't answer that question with simply a name of an insurance company.
I'm a licensed Independent agent. We deal with 25 companies or more. Each case is different and for that reason we can't tell a client which company is "best", until we accumulate ALL the info that a company needs to have to calculate a rate. It's only then that we can begin to make recommendations.
I suggest you make arrangements to meet with an Independent agent who will do this for you and because every ones situation is different he will be able to search and recommend for you as well as help you tailor the coverages to fit your individual needs.
All the money saved in the world on cheap insurance is worthless if the claims dept. is junk -- (because that's when you really NEED insurance, not before).
State Farm has the biggest claims force, the largest reserves and the best claims practices in the country. Stop by a large volume body shop and ask the manager which company they like to work with.
Depends on your age - if a senior, Hartford AARP, younger, try Progressive.
