Where are land rovers made?

i know it is some where in this country but exactly where

Answers:
There are two plants that Land Rovers are made in.

In Lode Lane, Solihull (just south of Birmingham) the Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are manufactured. The previous generation of Freelander was also manufactured here, but production finished a few months ago.
The current Freelander is manufactured in Jaguar's plant at Halewood (near Liverpool). The reason for this is that Jaguar and Land Rover are both now owned by Ford and are part of their Premier Automotive Group (PAG) which consists of Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo.
Hope that helps!
Solihull, I believe.
Japan. But they might have factories else where for cheaper parts.
England
UK
Land Rovers are exclsuively made in the UK, certainly not Japan
some (new varaint Freelanders I think) are buiilt at the Jaguar Plant in Liverpool, but the vast majority are built at Solihull

Land Rover Defenders used to be assembled out of a kit of parts all over the world, but Im not sure if that still happens.

jon H is barking
Land Rover is now owned by Ford (used to be BMW but no longer), Nestle is a Swiss company and it is that nations company law and Nestles constituion which stops takeover not the EU.
The factory is in Lode Lane, Solihull, Birningham

Complete Kits are exported to several locations around the world for reassembly.
Currently in the UK, but as the company was sold to the Germans then it will be the case (IT WILL) that manufacture will eventually be done in Germany.
In fact I cant think of any Companies of significance that havent been sold to make a quick buck and damn the future wealth of this nation.

Anyone for a Rowntrees Quality Street?. Oh, sorry I meant a Nestle Quality Street made in the UK. Oh , sorry I meant used to be made in the UK. Nestle's are closing down all that Joseph Rowntree done for this country and moving it to Europe.
Still, at least I can buy shares in Nestle and one day buy them out and do a reversal. Oh, no I cant.. because European law is differant where Nestle shares are held and takeovers arent possible by foriegners.

UK.. its stuffed.
Solihull.
They are now made at Hailwood in Liverpool at the Jaguar factory
Solihull Birmingham.UK.
Land Rovers are definately made in the uk at the solihull plant, as mentioned some freelanders are built at the jaguar plant in Liverpool but for how long who knows.. they are definately owned by Ford, who have just purchased the "Rover" name from BMW (only MG powertrain brands were sold to Nanjing Automotive!) to prevent anyone else aquiring the Rover name and thus producing Rover 4x4's in competition.
In Roverland.
