Is total quartz 9000 5w30 truly a full synthetic oil?

On the label "synthetic Technology" is stated, but not the specific term "fully synthetic". Is it basestocked by hydrocracked oil, PAO,or ESTER?

No, it is a hydro cracked mineral oil, and therefore not truly synthetic.

Note: It seems that as a result of a ruling by a Judge in the USA, about 7 years ago, with a poor understanding of technical issues, that hydro cracked oil can be called synthetic oil.
It is this legal ruling that has all the oil companies producing a "ME TOO !" so called, synthetic oil.

Educated Guess! Contains some.( part synthetic oil) and , Ester, and some what better than hydro cracked. not up to par with synthetic oil but improved viscosity . Estimated value of 1quart, $2.75.
yes this oil; is fully synthetic. i would recommend 30 wt in the summer and 40 wt, in the winter.
