Good idea or not..?

..fit cars with magnets around their sides .Put coils in the road or the crash barriers .Cheap electricity generation!Voila!!

Answers:
Not a good idea.

The cars will use more fuel because of the magnetic drag.
As car engines are not terribly efficient anyway (25-30% for a petrol engine, 30-50% for a diesel) this would use a lot more fuel and create a lot more pollution than if the same power was generated at an oil-burning power station.
WOULDN'T BE GREAT FOR ANYONE WITH A CARDIAC PACEMAKER, WHO SHOULD NOT GO NEAR MAGNETS!!
.and we could all walk around with tubes up our backsides to catch the methane and fuel our central heating.
