Which is the best way to remove / replace a cluch in a landrover discovery?

300 tdi engine there is some debate as to wether to take the gearbox out or to move the engine forword;to remove the cluch;

Answers:
i would agree with the engine route not as complicated as it seems and its cheap enough to hire a decent crane to do it just make sure you have a good clutch alignment tool the universal draper ones are very good
Believe me. Go the engine route. a lot less hassle
For goodness sake! Anything to be done to any vehicle on the road should only be done by a properly trained, qualified mechanic who is up to date with his work and not working as a brickie (no offence to brickies, they too are highly qualified as brickies) but says he knows how to do it.
There are so many bereaved families and maimed survivors who are victims of vehicles that were 'service' or 'maintained' by morons. Please don't do it. Get a mechanic.
