How would i go about putting a bike enigine in a car?
Answers:
Not to knock your knowledge/skills, but if you have to ask where to begin, then it is unlikely you have the skills to do this. Retrofitting a car with not one, but TWO motorcycle engines will require EXTENSIVE modification of the car. How will you mount them? What transmission will you use and how will you hook them up to the engines? What kind of modifications will you have to make to the car's structure to provide a way to mount the motors? How will you adapt controls like gas and clutch to work with the controls for the bike motors? Anything is possible with enough time and money, but this sounds like a pipe dream. Plus I highly doubt it would be anywhere remotely legal on public roads. Call a custom car shop and ask what they think.
I thought bikes have pedals?
just cut two holes n the floor dude
haha he means a motorcylce.and thats a damn good idea too.
get lots of gas mileage.just take lots of time.nice lil project interesting project.. here you go
It is not practical for gas saving - you increase the weight that much your mileage goes out the window.
This is a home brewed kit car thing that they are doing - recently(mostly for show as there is no other purpose - they are not good on gas, they tend to blow up as they want them for speed (and they can't keep them cool inside a car body, even when plumbed) - which is not impressive either - leaving them as a motor cycle beats all the things they are trying to do on those builds.)
If you want a street legal door slammer, that will still pickup a friend and a few 6's ; Outrun the Ferrari Enzo and McLaren F1's hands down ; make dodge vipers look and feel like Volkswagen's ; make Lamborghini Murceilago owners so pissed they will cuss at you AND you want the pleasure of doing it yourself -- check the link below. (Oh, and you will save about 650,000 pounds (1Million US Dollars) in doing it)
do you plan to lie down on your front with your feet in the boot in order to change gear?
buy one
