I would like to drive a london D9 bus is this possible anywhere?

Answers:
The D series of buses where developed in the Midlands for midland Red, they have a museum in the midlands at Whithall where you could ride one and possibly sit in the cab I don't think they would let you drive it though.
IF YOU DRIVE IT ANY WHERE ELSE IT IS NOT A LONDON D9 BUS JUST A BUS
Yes, become a bus driver.

Hi - I'm a former Oxford bus driver. If you really want to change your career and fancy bus driving for a living, that's probably the only way you are going to get your hands on one to drive it. You don't say whether or not you are already qualified as a bus driver; if not, you'll need to be either in traiing to drive one or drive it on private land.

You could expect to earn about £18K+ pa (if that's a more attractive offer than your present occupation!). There's a high turnover of bus drivers, so you could apply practically anywhere to do it, and then perhaps only do it for a year while you pay for your training. The company I worked for reckoned that it cost £1200 to train and put a driver through their test; in order to fulfill your part of the bargain you worked for them for 12 months. If you left after 6, you paid the company back £600, after 8, £400, etc.

I'm assuming two things - one, that you're not already qualified and two, if you really ~are~ interested in bus driving ~any~ bus ~anywhere~ will do! Of course, I could be wrong! :-)
I guess you mean one of the ex-Midland Red D9s converted to open top and used in the late 1970's and early 1980s on the Round London Tour. AFAIR there is only one of these (3016HA) preserved and it is at the transport museum, Wythall. You could join them.
