Answers:
get it checked out at the garage
Have a look at the book. If one didnt come with it then have a good look under the bonnet as there will be a dipstick somewhere poking out. Presuming it is automatic. Otherwise take it to a mechanic as it would be under the vehicle
To answer your question, you can fill it into the dipstick!
Sounds weird does it not?

Please note that if you install a fluid that is not exactly to Range Rovers specification, that you will be needing a new auto' gearbox in the near future.
With most cars ( I do not know the specifics for the Range Rover) you normally check the auto transmission fluid level with the car idling in neutral. Please verify this by ringing your Range Rover dealer for advice. They will be happy to help.
u should have 2 dipsticks under the bonnet one on the nearside for the engine & the other one is on the other side & u fill it through the dipstick tube, dont use cheap transmission fluid as u could damage the box which is extremely expensive to replace, surely your vehicle is still under warranty, unless its done over 60,000miles it shouldnt need any oil unless there is a bad leak, if i were u take it to a reputable dealer
