Is it suck ,blow,bang?

thats to do with compression in the old engines?

Answers:
Someone had a got lucky last night then?!!
ask a real question
its suck squeeze bang blow
suck, squeeze, bang, blow
in a 4 petrol stroke engine it is

Suck (in the fuel and air mixture)
(Then the fuel air mixture is compressed)
Bang (from the spark plug)
Blow (the waste gas out the exhaust pipe)
there was no sucking just blowing, very innoficient
It is not just old engines - any four-stroke engine follows this principle:

Suck: Intake stroke, the intake valve is open. The piston moves down, drawing air into the cylinder. In a normal petrol engine fuel is added at this stage.
Squeeze: Compression stroke . Both intake and exhaust valves are closed. The piston rises, compressing the contents of the cylinder.
Bang: Power stroke. The fuel/air mixture burns, creating expansion, forcing the piston back down.
Blow: Exhaust stroke. The exhaust valve opens, and the piston rises forcing the exhaust gases out of the cylinder.

See http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine.htm. for an animation that explains it.
air in, squash it together with the fuel, light it, waste goes out!
Is that from the Lesbian Handbook?
