Are Zurich a good car insurance company to deal with. Are they good at paying out? Has language been a proble
Answers:
Zurich is huge! they have been buying up smaller insurance companies all over Europe, and that includes the UK. In the last few years they have swallowed up several companies with which I used to deal, including Allied Dunbar.
So, No, I really would not worry that they are Swiss, any more than if you buy a Sony television you might need to speak Japanese, or German if you buy a BMW.
They are a very good company to buy insurance from and to work for
Zurich is a 'AAA' rated insurer who should pay all covered claims in a timely fashion. Don't concern yourself about the fact that they use an 'offshore' call center - most major insurers use such call centers, usually in India, but other countries are now being used.
In fact, there is quite a good likelihood that the education level of an Indian call center worker is much higher than you would find in a comparable call center in the US. In the US, a call center employee will very likely be a high school grad. In India, most all call center workers have a college or university degree, using the job as a way to advance their careers.
Finally, at least if you are in the US, if you have a problem with a call center employee, you have the right to have your claim 'adjudicated' (finally decided) by an employee based in the US. This has to do with insurance company licensing requirements, which is regulated by each state.
Zurich is a good insurance company. I use a broker in Surbiton who speaks impeccable English!
excellent company, first class experience with them, although i have only dealt with them when i had a company car.
