from my experience, if u take out the standard radio and put in a higher priced 1 that doesnt up the overall value of the car like u might think it would, the alloy wheels might make a small diff, and whatever else you done, i have a '96" escort that i bought in 01 and it only had 68,000 miles on it and in 2001 it had alot less miles and i paid 4,000 for it then, which was actually pretty high.I sld it a month ago for 2,200 and every thing was inperfect workin condition whn i sold it, the air con ect, if i were u i would def take out my stereo and stuff and put the standard 1 back in , if u still have it. i'd say approx £1000, as i sold my 2000 v reg deisel finesse 3 months ago with 60,000 genuine miles and fsh, but only got £1500, they are old looking cars and slow, but i think they should be worth more, cos i think they are good reliable cars (well i've not had n e trouble with n e of mine ) but a car is only worth what the buyer is willing to pay
