How do i get the gear Knob off my Citroen AX 1.0 Spree.?

I have had a look but it seems that there is no nut i dont think it screws off.

Hold shiftknob firmly with both hands while rotating car in a counter-clockwise fashion.


P.s. you might loosen the jam nut first.
Turn the car upside down (not difficult with an AX) . Wait a few days - it will fall off of its own accord.
get some mull-grips.. (big pliers).. and hold it round the bottom of the knob and twist anti-clockwise.. knob will be stiff for a while then get softer, so you can manoeuvre it.
it will screw off jus give it sum sh*t or get your fella to try, most standard gear knobs screw on and off
