well to tell u the truth c the SAXO VTS it would kick the mmm well cough cough cough clio 182 in a 1/4 mile run with a 50p chip from billys cafe. And any way c when u get on that boat u listen to the roar cos im a cuming ,well u might say how cums ur behind me u know y ur getting laped hahahahahahahahaha
I hope its not new as the 198 is just out. Not a bad wee motor for the size. Very nimble.
Very quick, Make sure your strapped in or your butt will end up in the boot
like shite of a stick lad. You'll need bog roll in the glove compartment to mop up yer nose bleeds. They look mint too yer jammy sod.
A bit cramped in the back, i'd rather go VW Golf especially the GTi which is a cracking car.

In fact, my friend is a service manager for a big car company which deals with lots of manufacturers, he stays stay away from anything French, go german or japanese to get reliability and build quality.
Not really much good.

Focus ST
Mondeo ST
Golf GTI
Civic Type R

Are all much better.
I own one (had it from new) in F1 racing blue and flippin love it! Much nicer than the new one! I put optimax petrol in it and have got it doing 0-62 in 6.7 compared to the 'official' 7.1.
Would recommend it!
Yes - they are fantastic fun!

My wife & I drove one for a year. Get it with the cup suspension and spoiler pack if possible.

They are a bit tinny. Sort of Friday afternoon build quality, but you forget that when you hit 400rpm.

Its like a turbo kicking in as the variable cam shifts and it just takes off! It is scary quick and it sticks to the road like its on rails!

EVO magazine (they know their stuff) rate it as the best hot hatch EVER. The Trophy version has uprated suspension and is the best version to get if you can, but a standard 182 is unbeatable on a twisty road.
They raced one against a new M6 and it hassled the M6 all the way until the big Beemer pulled a gap on the straights. As soon as a corner came, the Clio was all over the back of it.

Buy one and you'll never regret it!
there not bad motors but a bit on the small side, parts are very expensive,a xenon headlight bulb from renault will set u back over £100 as i used to work for renault dealership.
i had a honda civic type r which i feel is a lot better car for your money.
now your buying it its a bit too late to ask iof they are any good mate! But ive owned several fast clio's and have to say that i stopped because the build quality and aftercare on renaults is so shoddy. My old Williams literally fell apart after 36000 miles from new as did my 182. I should have learnt my lesson the first time
