yellow
white bulb with orange reflrctors.
They should still be orange bulbs, ive seen cars with white and blue covers on the indicators but they still flash orange
i think if its pure whiote might look nice o u can try to use the same colour as the origina colour look like
White/clear bulb with a orange reflective cover case.
orange bulbs
the mot guy is an idiot take it somewhere else lol
White or clear bulbs, clear are always best. It is the light cover on cars which give them their distinct colours, brightness and shine depending on the job they are designed for, such as reverse lights, indicators, full or dipped beam.
The output of your lights should be Orange!
You may have different coloured covers, which if using white bulbs will cause an offense!
To be safe, always use Orange bulbs of the correct wattage for your lamps!
Hope this Helps!
Clear TS indicators are only allowed on the front. The rears have to be amber or red.
If you have orange lens then the bulb can be clear or orange, makes no big difference.
What may have happened, and ford used to be bad for it, is that the colour of the lens has deteriorated to the point where it is no longer the orange it was designed to be. The MOT examiner should have explained that though.
Take it back and ask them exactly what they think you need to change
White, but I have seen ice blue ones, very nice
clear if a yellow lens or yellow if clear lens
ive had a ford fiesta and mine were white i know this cuz mine kept blowing out as long as you have orange lenses then it should have never failed an mot the mechanic must be a rip off cuz i have had lots of cars and the bulbs are all clear/white he is trying to make some money and id go else where.
if its a white lens you need an orange bulb, if its an orange lens then you need a clear bulb, as long it flashes orange its fine
the bulb should be clear and the cover should be orange/yellow
the mot states that with brake lights and indicaters no white light is to be visible, if your lense has deterioated it means white light could be showing so replace bulbs with amber ones or change your light clusters this can be expensive, unless you gamble on a pair from the breakers, this could lead to the same problem so bulbs is the first way to go, and change your mot station as some would have told you this and stock the bulbs and fitted them as good practise = happy customer = word of mouth advertising = more custom, my mot station even does free emission adjustment on carb motors silly things like that does make a differance.
if the cover is orange the bulb should be clear is the cover is clear the bulb must be orange, MOT standards :D
