Petrol??????
Answers:
Sounds like you have a bad sending unit in the fuel tank. Most common problem with fuel guage systems. There is also an anti-slosh module behind the instrument cluster but your description does not indicate a problem with that.
Better have that checked before you run out of fuel.
Your gauge has a bad connection, the relay is starting to go bad, or the float is bad.
It sounds like it's probably the connection. Best take it into a garage before it completely fails.
Mine does this but only when i turn a corner!
Yeah mine does that when i turn the corner or if i go up or down a hill.
Mine does this is if i go round a sharp bend. The other night i was coming home from work really worried as my petrol light was on.then i went round a sharp bend and the light came off and the needle moved.
It may be something as simple as the float sticking - you should get it checked as you don't want to get stuck with no petrol.
somebody has fitted a pendulum in ur engine(kidding)..i dont no the answer
Check to ground connection going to the sensor in the tank.
Most likely, the cause is a faulty fuel sending unit.
