I have a subaru imprezza STI, does any one else agree what a wicked car they are?
Answers:
Yes, they are very good cars. A friend of mine went to test drive a pro drive kitted STI a couple of weeks ago and I went with him. It was unbelievably fast and the speed it could take corners was mind bending.
The image problem comes from the fact that grey imports can be picked up for peanuts these days so a few spotty burberry baseball capped youths have been able to get their hands on them but they are in the minority. Owning one does not make you a chav, as one response suggested and the image problem isn't as bad as another person said.
They are very good cars that appeal to all ages, in fact I know of at least two guys in their 50's who own them, one of which is a senior manager working for a large multinational company.
I personally wouldn't buy one though as i'd lose my license in about 5 minutes and although I like fast cars I also like them to be a bit more refined.
Enjoy the car and don't listen to the muppets!
I think you must be a chav to have a car like that.
no.inspite of a great horse power, good handling and shifting i would say its not bad..but in terms of its body weight its heavy.i could say its a nice car..for drifting
No coz i know someone who was killed in one last year!
yes there nice, wouldnt minid one myself. the older models are becoming far too common on the roads now as you can pick a decent one up for about £4500 these days. Only prob is you see little old ladies driving them which is a bit of a waste really. I prefer the Evo myself.
They are technically very good cars, but they have a serious image problem in the UK
Most people think they are driven by louts and/or chavs.
I couldn't possibly comment.
I drive a scooby wrx sti, and I love it, its so phat.. oh and im not a chav ;-)
Chav City. Common As Muck.
ya only if you can get past the blue paint job
yeah, the STI has an great spec, but overrated, they cant be used properly on the road, my G reg vauxhall cavaleir has over 200bhp and only gets opened up on track days. if sti's are used for track days there great, if children who just want to show off own them they are bloody dangerous.
errr maybe, they did all the work making a fast car then put and old style body on it and some even have gold coloured wheels, whats that all about? ok car but it does look a bit like all other cars .
