My 307 HDi Peugeot is starting to go click click when turning. What is going wrong?

Can hear it mainly when turning into our drive. Wondered if this was a stock fault & how expensive it is. Steering joints? Power steering?

your cv joint is on the way out, if it hapens on left turns then its the offside one and right turns its the nearside. about £80 should fix it.
cv joints are going bad..its a pretty expensive repair.
have the cv joints checked !
front axle constant velocity joints sound as though they are going.
Sounds like the CV joint.

Could be anything from £50 to £250 depending on the car type. Sorry, not sure about Peugeot but my SAAB is near to £150
Sound like the constant velocity (C.V.) joint(s) are worn. If it happens on full lock, either direction, take it to a garage. Its not dangerous as such but leaving it will make repairing it harder and if it fails completely you could be left stranded. It shouldnt be too much to repair. Its a stock fault and there is a known price and time to refer to.

Its your CV joint/s. You should get a new one for under 200 quid, including labour, otherwise you're getting robbed. Bring it to a mechanic and get him to check it, if its just the one then its a b1tch to have to pay around 200, if its two i suppose you could begin to call it an expensive repair. Just a word of advice - avoid potholes and rough roads, its what causes them to go. If the car was driven hard either it may cause it. Another fairly common cause is if the car has lowered suspension, its harder on them. Overall though, i wouldn't expect it from a 307 just yet because they're a relatively new car. But having said that, my father had to put in a new one into his 2003 Passat Tdi and it never got abuse, so may be just a once off part failure. Good luck
sounds like a constant velocity joint .normally caused by the rubber boot on the joint splitting and allowing dirt and water in and grease out.
It is probably your CV joints, parts are not expensive but fitting can be a little tricky and therefore that can be expensive but will need to be done before the MOT becomes due.
One of your outer C.V. Joints is worn, and the lubricant has egressed from the boot which is probably split. New C.V. Joint and Boot Kit. Approx. £100 - 120. Not a big job. Can be done outside of Pug Dealership

If it turns out to be the cv joint, dont take it to a dealer. aftermarket recon units are equally as good and much cheaper.
Dealer labour costs are phenomenal too, any good garage can renew this for you.
