Bringing a car from cyprus?
Answers:
if you go to the Customs and Excise website, you should find the info there.
Alternatively, contact your nearest C & E office - you will probably find them very helpful, and they have free publications they will send you. (You may be able to obtain them online).
Check for any requirements for you to have owned the vehicle for a certain period of time before bringing it here. I think that does not apply if it is from an EU country, but do check first.
If you import from a non-EU country, they will take the purchase price paid, and add the total of all costs of ferrying, insurance etc, and to the total of that lot they will add 10% import duty. THEN, they will add 17.5% VAT!! Tax on Tax!!
I hope this helps
In addtion to tax. It must comply with US specifications. This can be costly/
