Should I learn to fly. What will I do with the licensce when I pass as I'm not rich enough to buy a plane?

Answers:
you can buy $100 hamburgers! they only sell them to licensed pilots!
If you really want to learn, I suggest you do. I have my license and it is a blast. You don't need to own a plane to fly once you have your license. You can rent a plane that you are qualified in from just about any flight school in your area.

Good Luck and Blue Skies..
I'm in the same boat, but I am planning on getting the license anyway. For me the joy of being able to occassionally rent a plane even for a few hours is enough to satisfy me. It really all depends on that. If you think you'd be happy with just going up from time to time then do it. If you can't imagine doing it without your own plane then it may not be worth the time and effort.
My husband is a pilot, and we don't have a plane. We are about to move overseas so he can become a bush pilot, then he can fly someone else's plane! Maybe you can rent from someone who doesn't fly a lot? Check at your local hangers to see if anyone lets their baby sit a lot, then ask them! Good luck! Have fun!
Go for it! Put the license in your wallet! You'll need it to rent a plane!

Most private pilots don't own planes. Nearly every FBO in the country rents them, with the exception of those at the major commercial airports.

The easiest place to rent will be at the airport where you learned to fly. They won't require a check ride, since they already know you and your skills, unless you want to check out something other than what you learned in.
I rented helicopters and it wasn't very expensive. I'm sure an airplane would be a bit cheaper, it just depends on where you live.
i feel that whenever the erge to fly, i find a tall building and just jump.

Definitely go for it. Learning to fly teaches you things far beyond the simple operation of an airplane.

If you can't afford to own your own airplane, (and most licensed pilots don't) you can always rent one by the hour from a local FBO. Many larger cities have flying clubs that own one or more airplanes, and the club members share the expense of ownership to reduce costs. You could also join the Civil Air Patrol as a senior member pilot, and donate some of your time to flying Search and Rescue (SAR) or other humanitarian missions. If you really want to do it, there are lots of creative ways you can get your feet off the ground without spending a lot of money.

Good luck!
Most private pilots rent, not own, the aircraft they fly.

And just to start off on the right track, you don't get a pilot "license". The FAA issues you a "certificate"!

If your gonna be a pilot, you gotta know the terminology!

Go get it, tiger!(the "certificate", that is). It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on!
i'm not completely sure about this, but i think once you get your certificate, you can get hired by commercial airlines, or people can hire you privately.
Go for it..

As far as costs go, many people, including those who own their own plane do not fly enough hours per year to justify the huge fixed costs. Years back, unless one was flying 100 hours/year, it was much much cheaper to rent. Today, its a little lower, as planes typically appreciate, rather than depreciate, but the other fixed costs have risen.
I always find this interesting, people saying they're not rich enough to buy a plane. You think nothing of buying a 17,000 dollar Honda, but you can't buy a 12,000 dollar airplane? You can buy an older Cessna 150 for that amount, and it doesn't take much looking. I own a Cessna 411 and love it. Paid 40,000. This is a twin-engined cabin class aircraft that flies around 220 mph. This is my third. Have also owned Cessna 150s, 152s, and others. Not as expensive as most would have you believe.
