Is it worth get a citreon saxo 1.6i vtr?

would it be worth buying this car i want a fast good economical car?

Answers:
I wouldn't touch a citroen with a barge pole. Poor build quality, unreliable and its value will drop like a stone. Thats why they need incentives and special offers to shift them as they just wouldn't sell on their own merit. All style and no substance.

I do a lot of motorway miles and if I see a broken down car on hard shoulder, the chances are its either a citroen, peugeot, renault or fiat.
should be fine but look at insurance, if you are young and not long passed yer test you will be hit hard
I once owned a mark1 citreon saxo 1.6i vts and it was really quick! the vts has 16v which gives it that bit extra speed. The vtr would probably be cheaper to insure tho. Get the vts i say, to hell with the expense!
visit saxperience forum site its a site dedicated to saxo`s all types someone who has the type of car your considering can tell you its good points and bad
go for it
Don't even bother. Saxo's break down - a lot. I suggest Ford Fiesta's or Peugeot's. I have a Vauxhall Omega MV6 that's very quick but not good for small walks as it were. Diesel car's are good as they have a turbo - quick off the mark. And they're economical. The newer ones are fast and don't sound like trucks - invest in a diesel. Can be super-chipped.
Personally i wouldn't. As it has already been stated the saxo is very unreliable and uncomfortable to drive. it wont seem too bad when you first get in it but after 30 minutes sat in one you realise just how badly padded the seats are and when you actually look at one, well don't even get me started- i think they could have done a better job by sticking the interior together with blue-tak.

Try having a look at a Ford Fiesta zetec s, or if your budget can stretch to it a BMW 316 compact.

All have got a 1.6 16 valve engine. You cant go wrong with a ford, not bad looking, not bad on speed and if things go wrong cheap to repair. Despite what people think BMW really have got the fuel economy thing sorted, and they are lovely cars. They can be a bit expensive to repair but with a car that well built you really shouldn't have to put it in for repair that often, just make sure that you keep it serviced.

and if you were thinking of getting the car brand new then i would still spend my money on a second hand BMW 316 compact.

NO too slow only 8 valves either get the VTS or look at a Punto GT but 106 Gti would be the best choice though!
it may be fast but reliability is awful, as is build quality especially a second hand citreon. also buying it will leave no return when u sell it. cost of repairs, don't forget how long till parts need replacing- its isnt built like a merc for nothing( a merc can last a lifetime, citreon- no!)

something jap is always good, reliable, good spec and good for modifying.
my tip is golf gti- they are built well- german is best
get a bus pass more reliable
If it's speed in a small car you're looking for then go no further than your Mitsubishi dealer and check out the new Lancer Evo.
With up to 405 hp your fuel mileage will depend on how heavy your foot is.
